Family Involvement
Mental illness and addiction affect the whole family. That’s why Cottonwood Creek Behavioral Hospital encourages as much participation from patients’ loved ones as possible.
We know that health outcomes are better the more families are involved, so we give them opportunities to participate during every step of their loved one’s treatment process, from admission to discharge and beyond. We’ll provide family members with resources and education about your condition or addiction, and our trained team of therapists and counselors will help them learn their roles and responsibilities in your recovery process.
We encourage ongoing communication with family members and loved ones, including phone calls and visits. We have designated visiting hours and times for phone calls, but exceptions can be made for special requests. Incoming patient phone calls will be accepted unless there is a scheduled group or activity.
